In the Bach transcriptions, we find the same ingenuity that characterized Godowsky's Chopin Etudes, coupled with a majesty quite unique in the piano literature.  Carlo Grante has earned worldwide acclaim for his previous Godowsky recordings. In particular, Vol. I in the Music & Arts series has been praised by Harold C. Schonberg in American Record Guide, by Jed Distler in International Piano Quarterly, and by numerous critics in Europe. Fanfare called Grante, "a pianistic superman...and certainly, an artist one is avid to become more acquainted with." Vol. III in this series, scheduled to appear next spring, will include Godowsky's transcriptions of Bach's cello suites.
